From Shelter Dog to Service Dog

Not all heroes wear uniforms or capes. Some are furry like Jasper. A child named Kellsey was diagnosed with epilepsy and she needed a hero. They found Jasper in a dog pound and due to anxiety, he had lost much of his hair. This is how a little girl found her service dog, her best friend and her hero too. Lack of sleep can sometimes cause epileptic seizures. One Christmas when lots of fun things were happening and Kellsey wasn’t on her normal sleep schedule, Jasper barked and whined until her mom came and found Kellsey coming out of a seizure. Jasper could sense Kellsey’s seizures and he was right by her side each day at school too. He would alert the teachers if Kellsey had anxiety issues or a seizure was coming on. This puppy dog tale is sure to fill your heart with joy and teach you something about those who have a need for a four legged friend who helps them through life.
