The day Larry Ross decided to flee his home in Czechoslovakia was the day his life changed forever. During WWII Nazi Germany and the dictator, Adolf Hitler, began a rampage in Europe. In March 1939 Czechoslovakia was invaded, eventually resulting in mass arrests and Jewish roundups across many cities and towns. A roundup occurred in the town of Banska Bystrica. As Larry witnessed this horrible event, his friend advised him to run. This event became the catalyst for Larry’s story of survival.
