As a child in Nazi Germany, Frank Cohn and his Jewish parents faced widespread antisemitism. Their lives changed forever when they managed to escape to America just before the horrors for Jews during Kristallnacht. Little did Frank know that he would return to Europe, not as a victim, but as an American soldier fighting for freedom and justice. His young author and illustrator did an outstanding job of sharing this powerful story and the enduring spirit of Colonel Frank Cohn.
